Maverick third party candidate "Deez Nuts" is making waves by polling surprisingly high. On Friday, he announced the candidates who have his support -- and there was no room for GOP front runner Donald Trump.
A pseudonym invented by 15-year-old Iowan Brady Olson, Deez Nuts announced Friday that he has endorses Ohio Gov. John Kasich for the GOP primary and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to be the Democratic contender, The Hill reports.
"This is not for the general election, I endorse myself for the GE. For the Republican nomination, my endorsement goes to Ohio governor John Kasich," Deez Nuts wrote on his Facebook page on Friday. Around the same time, he posted he also supports Sanders.
According to Fox59, Deez Nuts is polling in North Carolina at 9%, behind Hillary Clinton at 38% and Trump at 40%.
In reality, Deez Nuts couldn't actually win the presidential election because Olson is too young.
That hasn't stopped Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is Too Damn High Party from endorsing him, the New York Daily News reports. McMillan vowed to enter the race just so he could officially endorse Deez Nuts.
"Deez Nuts has the power to inspire young people and turn this country around,” McMillan told the Daily News. "Deez Nuts can get the young people excited!"
Though Olson is too young to be president, McMillian said he likes the idea of young people having their own election, opening the door to understanding government. He also said Deez Nuts' success in the polls shows a general disaffection with the politics-as-usual two-party system.
Deez Nuts is also getting the measured support of Limberbutt McCubbins, a gray tabby cat from Kentucky who is running for the Democratic nomination, the Daily News reports.
