Liberal firebrand Elizabeth Warren took to Ted Cruz‘s home turf Sunday to taunt her U.S. Senate colleague over his high-stakes crusade against Planned Parenthood.

“We will not let Ted Cruz shut down this government over Planned Parenthood! He wants a fight over Planned Parenthood? My answer is, ‘Bring it on, Ted!’” Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat, said during a speech in Austin, drawing loud applause.

Cruz is playing a starring role in the charge against Planned Parenthood, whose officials have been captured in a series of undercover videos that raise questions about its practice of letting patients donate fetal tissue for medical research. Planned Parenthood has denied any wrongdoing, but Cruz has not ruled out shutting down the federal government in pursuit of cutting off taxpayer dollars to what he calls an “ongoing criminal enterprise.”

After hitting Cruz, Warren went on to take a shot at another GOP presidential candidate: Donald Trump, the real estate mogul whose inflammatory comments on illegal immigration have roiled the 2016 race.

“No matter what Donald Trump says, we believe that immigration makes this country strong,” Warren said.

As Warren finished her remarks, she spoke personally of her ties to Texas, which include a diploma in 1970 from the University of Houston. She recalled how it only cost $50 a semester to attend the school back then.

“I grabbed that opportunity, and I held on with both hands,” she said, “and that college diploma opened a million doors for me.”

Warren was speaking at a fundraiser for the Texas Democratic Party that was closed to reporters, but video was provided by those in attendance.

White House adviser Ivanka Trump lashed out on Twitter on Thursday after she was deposed in a case that suggests the Trump family conspired to profit off of Donald Trump's 2017 inauguration.

"This week I spent 5+ hours in a deposition with the Democrat D.C. AG's officer where they questioned the rates charged by the Trump Hotel at the inauguration," Ivanka Trump said in a statement posted to Twitter.

The president's daughter went on to explain that she had asked the hotel to charge a "fair market rate, which the hotel then did."

According to a report from Politico, Donald Trump's cash-strapped campaign is frantically attempting to collect settlements in legal disputes because it needs the money to fund other lawsuits that are in danger of being dismissed.

Noting that the campaign of the embattled president is pressing Omarosa Manigault Newman to make a delinquent $52,000 payment for writing an unauthorized book about White House doings, the report explains the money is desperately needed.

‘Women didn’t like that’: Fox News host grills GOP chairwoman after Trump interrupts ‘145 times’ at debate

Fox News host Sandra Smith pressed Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel on Thursday over the idea that President Donald Trump could be punished with a "mute button" after he repeatedly interrupted Democratic candidate Joe Biden at Tuesday's presidential debate.

During an interview on Fox News, Smith noted that the Commission on Presidential Debates is considering changing the rules due to the constant interruptions at the first debate between Biden and Trump.

"At any point when you were watching the debate, did you wish that perhaps President Trump didn't jump in there as much as he did?" Smith wondered.
