Donald Trump is demanding an apology from Hillary Clinton for accusing him of “becoming ISIS’s best recruiter.”
The Republican presidential frontrunner appeared Monday morning on the “Today Show” and said the Democratic frontrunner should apologize to him for lying — and he slammed her record in public office.
“She’s been a mess no matter where she’s been,” he said. “She’s created a mess, you look at her record as secretary of state.”
He also attacked Clinton as dishonest and “weak” during an appearance Sunday on “Meet The Press,” saying “she’s a liar and everybody knows that.”
“She lies about emails, she lies about Whitewater, she lies about everything,” Trump said. “She will be a disaster about everything as president of the United States.”
Clinton claimed during Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate that “radical jihadists” recruit others by showing videos of Trump insulting Islam and Muslims — which the Republican strongly disputes.
NBC’s Matt Lauer asked whether Trump could attack Clinton over those video claims after he made unfounded claims about seeing videos of Muslims celebrating the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“There is proof because many people saw that happen,” Trump said. “I’ve been totally exonerated from that. I’ve heard headlines exonerating me and saying Trump was right. There’s many, many, many witnesses.”
