Ohio police are searching for a man who is accused of gunning down his former girlfriend's new lover, according to local media reports.

Police said 22-year-old Dennis Juris fatally shot a 27-year-old man Wednesday night in suburban Columbus after a fight broke out between the two men. Juris has been charged with murder.

The identity of the shooting victim has not been released because his family members have not been notified.

Police found the man's body lying on the porch of an apartment building. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A witness said the victim knocked on his door after being wounded and asked him to call 911. Then Juris allegedly shot the victim in the head after he went inside.

The father of the victim's girlfriend said Juris dated his daughter for 4 years and had a history of violence, NBC4 News reported.

SWAT officers surrounded a home where they suspected Juris was living, but didn't find him there.
