Twitter roasts Ben Carson for basing Supreme Court picks on 'fruit salad of their life'

Former neurosurgeon Ben Carson's lasting contribution to Thursday's Republican candidate debate was, unfortunately for him, his most bizarre line of the night.


When asked to describe his criteria for a Supreme Court nominee, Carson said he would "look at what a person's life has been, what have they done in the past, what kind of judgments have they made, what kind of association have they had. That will tell you a lot more than an interview will tell you. The fruit salad of their life is what I will look at."
