The brutally frank -- and hilarious -- Triumph the Insult Comic Dog stopped by Stephen Colbert's Late Show Thursday night and provided a dog's-eye view of the GOP candidates that was less than flattering.

The rubbery rottweiler -- a creation of Robert Smigel -- dumped all over the Republicans with below the belt jabs that included Carly Fiorina's face and Chris Christie's weight.

The piece began with a clip from Triumph's Hulu special, where he is seen on the campaign trail attempting to harass Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, asking the candidate, "Is it true you tried to shut down the government so you could go to a Nickelback concert?"

Speaking with the Late Night host, Triumph covered the field of current candidates, including ones who have recently called it quits like Christie.

“Christie’s dropped out,” Triumph explained. “I’m worried that Chris Christie might let himself go. I noticed that, even though he’s out of the race he still has a $100,000 dollar-a-plate scheduled. Tomorrow at Denny’s by himself.”

Triumph also showed off some of the reading he has been doing on the campaign trail, including Jeb Bush's new book: "Leading To Courage American Freedom... Future... Ah, F*ck It. I'm Out."
