Texas Sen. Ted Cruz won the GOP primary in Wyoming, the Associated Press reports.

Cruz beat his chief rival, Donald Trump, after Trump's campaign events were plagued by racially-charged violence this week. According to the AP, Cruz won 9 of the 12 delegates that were up for grabs, while Florida Sen. Marcho Rubio and Trump one one each.

The AP is not declaring a winner because another 14 delegates have yet to be awarded. These delegates will be announced during the Republican's state convention in April.

According to the AP, Trump leads the overall race for delegates with 460 while Cruz now has 369.
