Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of Hollywood outside the CNN headquarters on Sunday afternoon to voice their frustration with the lack of coverage of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Protesters used the hashtags #OccupyCNN and #BernieBlackout to organize and speak out against the unequal time given to covering Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump over Sanders. Last Saturday, Sanders won the Hawaii, Washington and Alaska primaries by large numbers but the network barely covered the news, activists say downplaying the victories. This while giving a disproportionate amount of time to covering Donald Trump's latest antics.

“Stop showing Trump so much,” said a man interviewed by Periscope user @SandersFangirl. “Stick to the issues.”

“There should be fair and equal coverage for all presidential candidates,” said a man also interviewed by @SandersFangirl.

Other Sanders fans have alleged CNN has lost its objectivity because Sanders' Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton has garnered significant sums from employees of Time Warner, CNN's parent company.
