Texans vote to rename Robert E. Lee Elementary after Donald Trump, Hitler and Adam Lanza

The school board in Austin, Texas voted in late March to rename Robert E. Lee Elementary School, but when asked to submit suggestions for a new name, local voters suggested they school be renamed Donald J. Trump Elementary.

KXAN.com reported Monday that the Austin Independent School District’s board will have final say over what the school’s new name will be, but tallies from voters featured names like Trump and Hitler. Nominations were submitted to the school district website.

The scores were as follows:

1. Donald J. Trump Elementary: 45 nominations
2. Robert E. Lee Elementary: 34 nominations
3. Russell Lee Elementary: 32 nominations
4. Harper Lee Elementary: 30 nominations
5. Elisabet Ney Elementary: 15 nominations
6. Lee Elementary: 13 nominations
7. Adolf Hitler School for Friendship and Tolerance: 8 nominations
8. Waller Creek Elementary: 8 nominations
9. Dr. Frances J. Nesmith Elementary School: 7 nominations
10. Guy Bizzell Elementary: 6 nominations

Mediaite reported that other suggestions included, “Adam Lanza’s School of Fun, Bee Movie, Bleeding Heart Liberal Elementary, Boaty McBoatface Elementary School, Forgetting the Past Dooms You to Repeat It Elementary, Garfunkel, Hypothetical Perfect Person Memorial Elementary School, John Cena Elementary and Schooly McSchoolerson.”

Notorious class warrior Robert Reich wrote a sharp attack of President Donald Trump for his international policies that are doing nothing more than scoring him personal cash and power.

Writing for The Guardian, Reich called Trump "the most xenophobic and isolationist American president in modern history," saying that the president has been "selling America to foreign powers for his own personal benefit."

While Trump promised during the 2016 election that he would "bring troops home," it was likely assumed that Trump meant the decades-long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The work on the ground in Syria was mostly being done by Kurdish allies and not American soldiers. The number of troops on the ground in Syria, prior to Turkey beginning their bombing campaign, was relatively low.

As CNN reported Smith's departure is only the beginning.

"It feels like death in the news division," said one senior Fox employee. The source explained that many staffers were "shocked" at the news, and some were crying. "At least we had him."

On June 8, 2019, President Donald Trump tweeted, in all capital letters, that "Mexico was now purchasing large quantities of U.S. agricultural" product, but Mexico claimed it had no idea what he was talking about. Sunday, Trump tweeted the exact same phrase, talking about China.
