Flailing Trump reduced to bragging about poll that shows he'd only lose to Hillary by a little

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump used to be fond of boasting about polls that showed him beating his rivals in the GOP primary. Now that his poll numbers are tanking, however, he's had a harder time finding bragging material.

Because of this, it was incredibly amusing to see Trump on Friday boast about a new poll conducted by Gravis Marketing that actually shows him losing to Hillary Clinton, albeit by "only" two percentage points.

As you can see, Hillary Clinton got 51% of voters in the poll, while Donald Trump got 49%.

While that's a definite loss, it's much better than how Trump has fared in other recent polls -- according to Real Clear Politics, the latest polls show Trump trailing by an average of six points:

At any rate, it's still very rare to see candidates citing polls that show them losing to their rivals. It's also especially hilarious because Gravis polls are not known for their accuracy and its latest poll numbers are completely unchanged from where they were when Gravis released its last poll in May.

As Trump himself would no doubt say if Hillary Clinton bragged about such a poll: "Sad!"
