Five people were injured on Monday night when an unidentified man walked into a candlelight vigil in Baltimore and opened fire, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The event was being held for 24-year-old Jermaine Scofield, who was shot and killed on the city's West side on Sunday. WJZ-TV reported that there were between 20 and 30 people at the vigil when the gunman attacked.

Four of the victims were women: the youngest, a 20-year-old, was shot in her thigh; a 24-year-old woman was shot in a shin; a 27-year-old woman was hit in an ankle, and according to the Sun, a 48-year-old woman was "grazed" in her stomach. The only male victim, a 31-year-old man, suffered a wound to one of his feet.
