It was an open secret in Donald Trump's administration that Rudy Giuliani was a "wild card," that he might show up drunk to the White House, and that women should stay clear of him, a former Trump administration official said Wednesday.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former communications official in Trump's administration who renounced him following the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, appeared on CNN Primetime to discuss recent allegations that the man previously known as America's Mayor groped Cassidy Hutchinson, who famously became the key to breaking through the Trump administration wall of silence in the investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection.
The first question Griffin was asked is whether Hutchinson, whom she knows personally, ever told her anything about the alleged incident.

Griffin said she trusts Hutchinson "implicitly," and that she did remember some kind of vague warning from her.
"I remember about two years ago her alluding to something, and I don't want to misrepresent the words, either he was creepy or handsy with me," Griffin said.
She noted that "those of us working the west wing at that time knew Giuliana stench was a wild card."
"He was unpredictable. Being careful on how I say this, there were concerns, I don't know if they were true that he would come to the white house inebriated."
Griffin added that "there was a sense among women in the white house that you didn't want to be around him."
Former President Donald Trump is facing a unique threat of his longtime associates turning on him, argued former federal prosecutor Harry Litman on MSNBC's "All In" Wednesday evening — and not just the longtime aide who was told to forget the boxes of classified information.
Rather, he and anchor Chris Hayes mused, tons of Trump's aides who were indicted alongside him in the Georgia election racketeering case stand to be bankrupted by this trial, and could turn against him as a mere financial survival strategy.
"Jenna Ellis, for instance, who has publicly complained ... Harry Litman, about the fact she can't pay her legal bills," said Hayes. "She has now said she won't vote for Trump. She called him a narcissist, I, believe which is — well, welcome to the party ... again, this does seem to create an intense incentive for cooperation."

"Completely," said Litman. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Look, Jenna Ellis is the perfect example here. She has got a GoFundMe site, that, I think, if it continues, might fund two days of trial, and what are they really supposed to do other than get public defenders?"
That, noted Litman, is already what happened with Yuscil Taveras, a Mar-a-Lago tech aide who originally was represented by a Trumpworld attorney, before switching to a public defender and revealing a lot of new information.
"So, even apart from the conflict problem, there's literally, are they going to be bankrupt?" said Litman. "And then what? Look to Trump at the very end? These are dangerous people, in dangerous times, for Trump."

Donald Trump ally and failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake will reportedly be announcing her next act as a U.S. Senate candidate, the Huffington Post reported on Wednesday.
Lake has been teasing a potential run for Senate for months, including earlier this year, when it was reported that that fellow Republicans were "paralyzed" by the very prospect. Many observers reportedly fear Lake is far too extreme to win a general election.
"The former Arizona broadcast news personality lost the state’s gubernatorial race last year to Democrat Katie Hobbs. Despite losing by more than 17,000 votes, Lake has repeatedly claimed she won the election and has led numerous legal challenges to the election’s results. Before that, she championed Trump’s baseless claims that he, too, was a victim of election fraud after losing the 2020 election to President Joe Biden," reported Lydia O'Connor. "Lake ― who holds hardline conservative views against abortion, LGBTQ+ protections, undocumented immigration and gun reform ― would be seeking the GOP Senate nomination against Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, another ardent Trump supporter."

Far-right businessman Blake Masters, who unsuccessfully ran for Senate in 2022, is reportedly also interested in running again.
Despite having lost her legal actions, Lake is moving forward with a new lawsuit accusing Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and is the largest county in the state, of "engineered Election Day chaos" to defeat her, even though many of the election officials in charge of the county at the time were Republicans.
Democrats currently have as their frontrunner Congressman Ruben Gallego, who may have to face not just the GOP but, should she choose to run for re-election, independent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, who in many polls would be third behind the Democrats and Republicans in the race.
