A shooting incident has taken place at an elementary school in Anderson County, South Carolina.

Greenville News reports that multiple law enforcement units are responding to the shooting at the Townville Elementary School, including EMS and LifeFlight.

Police say they have taken a teenage suspect into custody, and that two children and one teacher have been shot. At least one child had to be taken away from the scene via a medical helicopter, although neither child's injuries are believed to be life threatening.

According to local station WYFF 4, police arrived on the scene at 2 p.m. ET. The school contains just under 300 students from kindergarten through the 6th grade and has been completely evacuated.
