Nashville's Christ Presbyterian Academy teacher Ben Ellis had an aggressive form of cancer and decided recently to stop treatments. Students at his school were saddened by the news and wanted to do something to show Ellis that they cared.

According to KTUV, the school canceled classes and the 400 walked out of school and boarded a school bus en route to Ellis's home. Their Facebook video, that has now gone viral, shows him watching the group through a window and singing along.

He told them that it made him feel like he "was not alone."

The video has over 30 million views and has also been shared by country music singer Tim McGraw who has ties to the area.

Ellis died on Friday morning.

"Ben was a gift to us all in the most unassuming and life-giving way," the school said in a statement. "And though it is a time to grieve, we are not without hope.

Ellis told students "I am full of hope, peace, and joy. I wish all this for you. Look to Jesus to know, to believe, and to be filled.”
