Actor James Woods, known more now for his Twitter battles than starring roles, turned in an ugly performance online after being informed the man he sued for $10 million had suddenly died.
Woods filed a lawsuit against a Twitter user known as @abelisted after the man tweeted at him “cocaine addict James Woods still sniffing and spouting.”
According to an early tweet by Woods, he celebrated the man dropping his appeal of the verdict, while taking a shot at the man's lawyer.
"The slime who libeled me just dropped his appeal contesting my victorious SLAPP motion. Perennial loser @LisaBloom isn't yapping so much now."
Attorney Bloom responded, writing, "Hi James. As you surely know, my client died. Have a nice day and stay classy."
Then it got ugly.

When the slime who libeled me retained a diet guru (@lisabloom) and a guy who calls himself @Popehat, I felt pretty good about the lawsuit.— James Woods (@James Woods)1477034010.0
.@LisaBloom Having spent time listening to you, he's no doubt in a better place. Keep losing, dear.— James Woods (@James Woods)1477040457.0
According to Mediaite, two additional tweets that were deleted showed that those were not the worst of Woods on the matter:
