Matthew Apperson was found guilty last month for the attempted murder of Trayvon Martin killer George Zimmerman. Monday he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Despite pleas from his wife and mother, the judge was unsympathetic, WFTV reports. Apperson’s wife also accused eye-witnesses of lying during the trial. She called the "amount of perjury" from them "disturbing."
