Cable news shows are still talking about Donald Trump's leaked tax returns, and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is absolutely furious about it.
During a CNN panel on Monday, an angry Lewandowski came down hard on the New York Times for publishing Donald Trump's leaked tax returns.
First, he tried to claim that we don't even know if they're really Trump's tax returns, although New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota pointed out that the campaign hasn't denied that they're authentic. Camerota also noted that the Times confirmed they were Trump's tax returns by going to the accountant who prepared them and having him confirm they were real.
Lewandowski's voice then went up a pitch as he fumed about the supposed criminality of what the Times had done.
"It's a crime to release someone's taxes and publish them without their permission!" he said. "There is no national security interest in Donald Trump's tax returns, that's a fact. And the New York Times should be held accountable, and I hope he sues them into oblivion for doing this."
Eventually, the panel devolved into unintelligible yelling, as panelist Christine Quinn tried to tie Trump not paying any taxes for years to his actions stiffing contractors who did work for him. As she tried to make this case, Lewandowski shouted about Hillary Clinton's emails as his voice repeatedly cracked like a 13-year-old boy.
