Sean Hannity apologizes for spouting bogus garbage about Michelle Obama that he found on the internet

Fox News commentator Sean Hannity has been engaging in false information sharing as of recently, but on Tuesday he apologized after spreading a fake rumor on his radio show about the Obamas and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Mediaite reports.

Specifically, Hannity referenced a Gateway Pundit post titled "Rats Jump Ship=> Michelle Obama Did Scrubs Hillary Clinton from Twitter History?" which alleged that the First Lady and Warren deleted any references to Clinton from their Twitter accounts, including mentions.

Hannity suggested that the Obamas were scrubbing their tweets over Clinton's illegal email server because "Obama is implicated here and he's pissed." He added, "You know what his legacy might be? Jail."

However, the claim was just simply untrue.

On Monday, Hannity also retweeted rumors that Clinton was drunk at a campaign rally last week — and then denied it, so it's nice to see him apologizing for some of the misinformation he is circulating.

In two tweets, Hannity wrote on Tuesday, "Correction. Live on radio I read a gateway pundit report that @MichelleObama had deleted mentions of HRC. And a listener said BHO and... Elizabeth Warren did same. Fact is they didn't. I humbly apologize. Live radio."
