Woman creates satirical 'White Male Registry' to protect Americans during Trump fans' reign of terror

In a very tongue-in-cheek Facebook post, that is sadly based upon irrefutable statistics, a New York woman has set up an "White Male Registry" to keep track of America's most dangerous demographic: white men who use their privilege to abuse the marginalized.

In the Facebook post this week, Candace Thompson took a look at the proposal by potential Trump administration officials to create a Muslim registry, matched it to crime statistics, and decided they were missing the real problem plaguing the U.S.

"As you may or may not know, in America 57% of reported rapes and 64% of mass shooting were committed by white men," she wrote. "45% of all serial killers are white men. 1 in 3 women will experience some form of domestic violence during their lifetime, and 97% of those domestic violence perpetrators were men."

"In the past week alone The Southern Poverty Law Center has registered over 400 reports of hate crimes enacted in the name of the nationalist, racist, and sexist campaign rhetoric espoused by Donald J Trump," she continued. "Every day, as shocking staff appointments and Muslim registry plans start to emerge from the President-Elect's transition team, one thing has become increasingly clear: the safety of American citizens-- all American citizens-- is in danger."

"Forget the nation of Islam, our most immediate threat to domestic security is and always has been white, straight men," Thompson concluded.

With that in mind, and calling herself a "Red Blooded Patriot" she created a Google doc allowing men -- or helpful family members and acquaintances -- to sign them up with a deadline of Inauguration Day.

Outside of providing basic information, the form asks some probing questions in case men need reminding of why it is necessary.

For example, next to check-off boxes, man are asked:

  • I have remained silent when another white man made a derogatory* comment about a marginalized** group or person
  • I have endorsed publicly or privately a Presidential candidate that has made derogatory* comments about many marginalized** groups and individuals
  • I have committed a hate crime such as a rape, racially or sexually motivated murder, committed a mass shooting in the name of my ethnicity, nationality, or gender, or created media (either digital or analog) that was racist, sexist, homophobic or nationalist in nature

and most importantly,

  • I have consciously or unconsciously benefited from my white male status

With the advice: "You should definitely check this box."

Realizing that Trump is quite busy these days attempting to put his administration in place, Thompson pre-registered the President-elect, writing, "I hope you'll join me in asking other white men to register in the interest of national safety, for as you so wisely said, "We want to be very fair but too many bad things are happening and the percentage of true hatred is too great. People that are looking to destroy our country must be reported and turned in by the good people who love our country and want America to be great again."

"All the best to you and your transition team. I sincerely hope that we have the chance to meet in person one day so that I can grab you by your most esteemed man-pussy. But be forewarned: once I grab it I will never, ever, ever let go, she concluded.
