Clinton aide blasts Kellyanne Conway for shrugging off Russian hacking without knowing any intel
Hillary Clinton aide Karen Finney slammed former Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway for being so passé about the Russian cyber war during an appearance on CNN’s “New Day.”
Over the weekend, Conway said that the Clinton team was bitter about their loss and that making a big deal about the Russian hacks was part of the left “grasping at straws.” Finney cautioned Conway against being dismissive about intelligence showing involvement by the Russian government in the election.
“Kellyanne Conway is a very talented political operative,” Finney prefaced. “And I understand why she and the other members of the Trump team are trying to make this about, you know, sour grapes, and not wanting to accept the election results,” Finney said, clarifying that it isn’t what anyone is saying.
“Kellyanne Conway also admitted she herself is not privy to any of the information, the classified information, the intelligence, that, you know, when other members of Congress have seen it it has been very convincing to them,” Finney continued. “In fact, Donald Trump, if he would decide to show up once in awhile for those briefings, those national security briefings, he, too, might be more convinced that there’s some there-there that is worthy of investigating.”
Finney said that as an American she wants to know the answers to these questions.
She also acknowledged the failures on the Clinton campaign but that we’re past the election and now it’s about protecting our country.
