Newsweek reporter Kurt Eichenwald has been one of President-elect Donald Trump's fiercest critics -- and that's also made him a prime target for pro-Trump trolls on social media.

Per Mediaite, Eichenwald went on ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday and talked about how some particularly vicious Trump trolls have been working to give him seizures by sending him GIFs of flashing strobe lights designed to trigger his epilepsy.

Eichenwald notes that the trouble started when one anti-Semitic Twitter user with the handle "@jew_goldstein" sent him a flashing image that contained the caption, "You deserve a seizure."

After this particular user successfully gave Eichenwald a seizure, other copycat users came along and, according to Eichenwald, are "loading up my Twitter feed with more strobes."

"It is amazing that simply because I am a political reporter that we have become so sick and twisted in this country that people think they have the right and obligation to inflict very serious injury," Eichenwald told host George Stephanopoulos.

The Newsweek reporter isn't taking this lying down, however, as he tells Stephanopoulos that he's pursuing legal action against the trolls who are trying to hurt him.

"We’re going have subpoenas going out to them soon," he explained. "Online anonymity does not protect criminals. That's why subpoenas exist."
