Coming on the heels of President Donald Trump's disastrous executive order to deny entry to refugees from war-torn Syria, Keith Olbermann felt compelled to apologize for U.S. voters unleashing Trump upon the world.

Addressing citizens in countries affected by Trump's policies --  including Mexico that the president wants to wall off from the U.S. -- Olbermann reminded them that America has always welcomed immigrants.

"Permit me to apologize on behalf of the citizens of the United States of America for the unforgivable actions of the man who has assumed power here," Olbermann began. "I speak for those unlike Trump, unlike the sycophants who surround him, unlike the hate filled souls and the conscious optional bigots who applaud him, unlike the Russian puppeteers who may be manipulating him."

"I speak for those of us who have not forgotten, and will not forget, that we are the descendants of immigrants," Olbermann continued.
