WATCH LIVE:  Hundreds of thousands descend upon DC for #WomensMarchOnWashington

One day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, hundreds of thousands of women -- and men - are expected to descend upon Washington D.C. to draw attention to the concerns of women under the new administration.


The Washington march is just one of hundreds around the globe where protesters are expected to focus on reproductive rights, women’s equality, LGBTQ rights and violence against women.

According to Washington organizer's website: "Sister Marches are solidarity events inspired by the Women's March on Washington, and organized by volunteers around the world. If you can't make it to Washington, D.C. on January 21, join or host a Sister March near you," while noting that there are 673 marches planned worldwide expecting over 2 million marchers.
