Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders talks on NBC's 'Today' (Screen cap).
According to journalists attending a Tuesday night press gaggle on Air Force One, Deputy White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said President Donald Trump has the right to fire Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, but doesn't plan on it.
Bloomberg's Jennifer Jacobs tweeted that Sanders said "while the president has the right to, he has no intention to" fire Mueller, and The Hill's White House pooler Jordan Fabian confirmed the statement as well.
