‘More like #InsecureMenDay’: LGBT Twitter hilariously trolls right-wingers celebrating ‘Heterosexual Pride Day’

Every June is LGBT Pride Month — but some straight conservatives are apparently unhappy that they don’t get their own special day that tells them they should be proud of their own heterosexuality.

To remedy this, some of them declared Thursday to be “Heterosexual Pride Day,” and they got it trending on Twitter under the hashtag #HeterosexualPrideDay.

Many people both inside and outside the gay community found this hashtag to be laughable, of course, since straight people have never faced the threat of violence or imprisonment for their sexuality, as many LGBT people do around the world.
