SNL is on hiatus and McKinnon admitted it was difficult being unable to respond to the daily firehose of news and information ripe for mockery.
“There’s a party going on and I’m not there!” she said, pretending to cry to Meyers. “And I know what’s going on because I read about it on the internet. But I can’t comment on it.”
McKinnon admitted that the pitch to play “Sesh” started as a joke, but then it actually happened.
“There’s the joyfulness with which he proceeds,” McKinnon said of Trump’s AG. “He’s got this funny little mouth and I could always do this thing with my lip.”
She curled her top lip up into what Meyers called a “Grinch mouth” and transformed her face into the former Alabama senator. She went on to quote some of Sessions’ key phrases from his hearing, hilariously mocking his attempts to avoid answering the questions.
“Oath? Oath is such a strong word,” McKinnon said as Sessions. “Now, when I said oath, now I thought I was saying oats in one of those lispy Barcelona accents. Oath. Oath. And Sergey Kislyak, I only met him two times — three times — OK, three times. But the third time was in a men’s restroom and we was just talking about what a trial it is to get soap out of those electric soap dispensers. And you know, Comey asked me to keep Trump out of his way, right? And they’re saying I didn’t respond but the truth is, I didn’t hear him. Because this guy is about 6’8″ and I had heard a sound above my head and thought it was a cicada.”
Trump announces he has unilaterally decided to let Putin back into the G7 Summit: report
President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he intends to let Russia attend the next Group of Seven summit.
Since 2014, Russia's membership in the organization has been suspending in response to Vladimir Putin's annexation of Crimea. That changed the name from the G8 Summit to the G7 Summit.
The announcement came from pool reporter Gabby Orr of Politico, who said Trump will also invite South Korea, Australia and India to the next summit, which he is postponing until September.
More via pooler: “‘I don’t feel that as a G7 it properly represents what’s going on in the world. It’s a very outdated group of countries,’ he said. Alyssa Farah said this is bringing together our traditional allies to talk about how to deal with the future of China.”

The girl can be heard screaming as protesters attempted to deliver first aid.
"Stop it! Stop it," she screamed.
Here is a thread Twitter user Kayvon Behroozian posted to Twitter, tagging local media outlets, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkin and Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best.
Apparently Officer Campbell (see thread — mustache) of @SeattlePD maced the CHILD crying in this video. He did not provide his badge number upon request, unlike his colleagues. @seattletimes @Q13FOX @MayorJenny @carmenbest (posting on behalf of friend who took these videos/pics) pic.twitter.com/0ojb37RSJt
