Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) has only been out of office since June 30, but he's already criticizing his Republican former colleagues on the party's inability to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

In a Fox News appearance on July 5, Chaffetz, one of the network's newest contributors, slammed the GOP for not having a healthcare bill ready for President Donald Trump when he took office.

"We’ve been repeatedly told by leadership, ‘Look, get ready in January. It’s gonna be there…’ and we’ve been talking about this for seven years, and here we are turning the corner in July and we still can’t point to a single thing that unites us," Chaffetz said.

When host Dana Perino asked Chaffetz if the Senate's current Obamacare replacement bill resembled the bill Republicans in the House and Senate were supposed to be working on leading up to Trump's inauguration, he was incredulous, and replied "no, no, nowhere close!"
