Jared Kushner insists he did not collude with Russia — ‘nor do I know of anyone else in the campaign who did so’
Jared Kushner insisted he was dedicated to transparency after a closed-door meeting in the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday.
“Let me be very clear. I did not collude with Russia, nor do I know of anyone else in the campaign who did so,” he said. “I had no improper contacts. I have not relied on Russian funds for my businesses. And I have been fully transparent in providing all requested information.”
Kushner said Donald Trump won because the Republican candidate had a better message and a smarter campaign than his rival Hillary Clinton. “That is why he won, suggesting otherwise ridicules those who voted for him.”
Before the Senate meeting, Kushner — who is Donald Trump’s son-in-law and also serves as the president’s senior adviser — released an 11-page statement insisting he did not collude with Russian operatives during the 2016 presidential campaign.
