‘Mooch just wants to be famous’: Conservative on The View trashes Scaramucci for selling out to get Trump job
The hosts of ABC’s The View on Monday hammered Donald Trump’s new communication’s chief for apparently selling out and reversing many of his political views to appease the president.
After being hired as the new White House communication director, Scaramucci deleted a number of tweets that didn’t align with the views of the Trump administration. “Full transparency: I’m deleting old tweets,” he remarked. “Past views evolved & shouldn’t be a distraction.”
“Trump did the same thing,” co-host Joy Behar said. “Like I’ve said before, I think Trump got into this to enhance his businesses. That’s why he took the job, and his ideals and his feelings and his beliefs are irrelevant.”
“I think Mooch just wants to be famous,” conservative co-host Jedediah Bila added. “I was watching him do commentary. For a long time, it looked like he was trying to get a Fox News show or a Fox Business show. Somewhere, he wanted to be famous — and I think this is his way of doing that.”
“But I think it also shows he’s a lot like Trump,” she continued. “I mean, Trump had a record of opposing everything Trump’s saying now.”
