Appearing on Fox & Friends Sunday morning, the head of the conservative Citizens United PAC lectured feminists for not standing up for Ivanka Trump after she sat in for her elected father at a G20 meeting in Hamburg.
Following the lead of host Abby Huntsman -- who excitedly read some of the Twitter criticisms of the first daughter -- David Bossie blamed the complaints on "feminists in name only' who only care about "the checkbook."
"These feminists are only feminists in name only," the former deputy campaign manager for Donald Trump complained. "They're only feminists when it affects their checkbook. They don't fight for women across the board. They never have."
Criticism of Ivanka Trump came from across the political spectrum, with some noting she has claimed to want to "stay out of politics." Others, such as the New York Times' Charles Blow, pointed out, "Why the hell is Ivanka Trump sitting in for daddy at G20 meetings?! What are her qualifications? Who voted for her?"
According to Bossie, such comments are "demeaning."
"The left calling these derogatory terms — describing her in these derogatory terms is so demeaning,"Bossie stated. "It's unbelievable that the left would allow this to happen and not just condemn these remarks. It is absolutely wrong for the left to be attacking Ivanka on these issues."
