‘Dead baby in her bag’: Flight attendants share nightmare stories of ‘Ambien zombie’ passengers

Published

on

The world’s flight attendants have the difficult job of dealing with hundreds of millions of passengers, many of whom are unruly, unhinged or downright rude.

Thanks to the internet, flight attendants are sharing the most bizarre stories they encounter.

“I was checking in a lady for a flight, and she told me she had a dead baby in her bag,” an anonymous airline customer service agent revealed to Business Insider. “As it turns out, it wasn’t a dead baby — it was the remains of a dog, properly cremated and correctly contained. But she only told us this after we looked in the bag. A dead dog is not a baby. Don’t tell me you have a dead baby in your bag!”

“I haven’t seen this, but I did have flight attendants tell me about blood dripping from the overhead because someone was bringing in a goat’s head from a Caribbean island,” flight attendant Annette Long told Business Insider.

Other tales include the woes flight attendants encounter when passengers become “Ambien zombies” by mixing the sleeping drug with airplane cocktails.

Airline practices also result in difficult working conditions for their employees.

“Someone threw a soda at me because of an over-sold flight,” a customer service agent noted.

“One passenger attempted to board the plane wearing a raincoat and no pants,” was another tale Business Insider heard.
