‘Fox News vehemently denies’ colluding with White House to promote DNC conspiracy theory

In the wake of the revelation that the White House signed off on a Fox News story spreading a false conspiracy about the death of Seth Rich, the network issued the following statement:

“The accusation that FoxNews.com published Malia Zimmerman’s story to help detract from coverage of the Russia collusion issue is completely erroneous,” said Fox News president of news Jay Wallace. “The retraction of this story is still being investigated internally and we have no evidence that Rod Wheeler was misquoted by Zimmerman. Additionally, FOX News vehemently denies the race discrimination claims in the lawsuit.”

In what was possibly a hint to remind people of his legacy this Monday, former President Barack Obama gave a shout out to the anniversary of his signing of the 2009 economic stimulus package.
