“And now we know exactly what Trump meant by ‘make America great again,'” Keith Olbermann said at the beginning of Monday’s installment of “The Resistance.”
“Make it great for the racists, the white supremacists, the neo-Nazis,” he said. “Make it great for the anti-Semites. Make it great for those entrusted to enforce the law who break the law and persecute Hispanics.”
Referencing Trump’s pardoning of notoriously racist ex-sheriff Joe Arpaio, Olbermann argued that the president is “making America great” for people who are bigots.
Trump is “making America great,” Olbermann continued, for people like himself, who wants to build a wall to “keep Mexicans out” while Houston, a city whose population is nearly a third Latino, drowns.
“‘Make America great again,'” he said, “which means ‘make America white again.'”
