Leave it to the scandalous former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly to defer the blame for his firing earlier this year from his own alleged sexual assault to an “assault” by the left.
In an interview with Breitbart, O’Reilly said that after being under a supposed siege by history-hating “far-leftists,” they finally got him when he was fired in April amid sexual assault allegations.
“I think people have to realize [is] number one, how severe the problem has become and number two, that it’s going to take courage to fight it,” O’Reilly told the right-wing news site. “I’m the poster boy for that. I’ve been under attack for 16 years, and finally, these forces of evil and darkness got me. It was a confluence of events that someday all of it will be exposed.”
In the rambling interview, O’Reilly took on everything from argument that removal of Confederate monuments is a “slippery slope” that will lead to removal of the Constitution to his belief that President Donald Trump is leading a “mini-revolution.”
