Diagnosing President Donald Trump's alleged mental disorder has become a popular pastime, not just among mental health professionals but also among politicians, journalists, pundits, comedians, and ordinary people gathered at coffee breaks. Trump's consistently bizarre sayings and doings have triggered a bill to establish a commission "on presidential capacity" and a suggestion that the president be…

Trump blasted by CNN doctor for 'completely insane' decision to hide getting a vaccine
March 01, 2021
On CNN Monday, Dr. Jonathan Reiner tore into former President Donald Trump following reports that he secretly received a COVID-19 vaccine in his final month of office, without publicizing it.
"In a similar fashion to the politicization of masks, we've seen the same thing now to a little bit of a lesser degree, but nonetheless there with the vaccines," said Reiner. "Another poll by the Gallup Organization last week asked people if a vaccine was available for them right now would they take it? And 91 percent of Democrats said yes. 51 percent of Republicans said yes. So we must close that gap. So what an opportunity for the most respected Republican, the former president of the United States, to make a big statement, to be publicly seen getting vaccinated. Yet he did not do that. Why would he not do that?"
<p>"It gives him a chance to brag," interjected anchor Brianna Keilar. "Two of these were approved under his watch."</p><p>"Right. Take a victory lap," said Reiner. 'So why wouldn't the former president do that? It is either something like he didn't want to estrange the vaccine denier population of his base, or something completely insane, which is he didn't want to roll up his sleeve in public? The net result is incredibly destructive. We saw what happened when he cast doubt on the utility of masks last year. Without the president's very visible assent to vaccines, it has just a devastating result on the acceptance of vaccines in people who doubt it right now."</p><p>

Dem congresswoman says Cuomo 'must resign' after third #MeToo allegation includes shocking photo
March 01, 2021
The New York Times on Monday reported on a third allegation of sexual harassment by NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo -- and included a shocking photo.
Anna Ruch described an incident at a wedding.
<p>"Mr. Cuomo put his hand on Ms. Ruch's bare lower back, she said in an interview on Monday. When she removed his hand with her own, Ms. Ruch recalled, the governor remarked that she seemed 'aggressive' and placed his hands on her cheeks. He asked if he could kiss her, loudly enough for a friend standing nearby to hear. Ms. Ruch was bewildered by the entreaty, she said, and pulled away as the governor drew closer," the newspaper <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/01/nyregion/cuomo-harassment-anna-ruch.html" target="_blank">reported</a>.</p>

<p>"I was so confused and shocked and embarrassed," said Ruch. "I turned my head away and didn't have words in that moment."</p><p><span></span>Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY), a former federal and state prosecutor, said it is time for Cuomo to step-down.</p><p>"The time has come. The Governor must resign," Rice posted to Twitter.</p>

‘Really creepy’ Republican’s behavior is so bad GOP lawmaker moved her desk to get away from him
March 01, 2021
On Monday, The Daily Beast reported that GOP North Dakota state Rep. Luke Simons is facing allegations of sexual harassment against staff members, interns, and a fellow Republican lawmaker. That lawmaker claims he created such a hostile environment that she moved her desk just so she wouldn't have to sit next to him.
"In a Saturday statement, Rep. Emily O'Brien (R-Grand Forks) said the inappropriate behavior by Rep. Luke Simons (R-Dickinson) became so bad that her colleagues had to help her relocate to a desk 'further away from him,'" reported Pilar Melendez. "The move was made 'under the pretense that my pregnancy required closer proximity to a restroom rather than addressing his harassing behavior,' she explained."
<p>She added that, "Mine is just one of many instances that were handled by avoiding the real issue. If you have endured similar harassment, now is the time to speak up, and now is the time to demand action."</p><p>Simons, according to a legislative investigation, allegedly made unwanted advances towards legislative staff, talked about shopping for thong underwear with women, and gave a "shoulder massage" to one staffer. O'Brien says that, "Every couple of days he'd walk by and give me the up-down," that he would tell her she must be a "very good secretary for her boss" who should feel lucky she's allowed to work in the Capitol, and that he would ask her who was doing the dishes and laundry in her house if she had to work.</p><p>House Majority Leader Chet Pollert has <a href="https://bismarcktribune.com/news/state-and-regional/govt-and-politics/north-dakota-house-gop-leaders-call-for-simons-to-resign-amid-harassment-reports/article_cbd4593c-e392-5933-a960-3aae43e70574.html" target="_blank">called on Simons to resign</a> and threatened to begin expulsion proceedings, saying, "While we have previously worked with various individuals to resolve issues with Representative Simons' inappropriate behavior, it is clear further action must be taken."</p>
