New Hampshire's largest hospital is on lockdown over reports of an active shooter, reports Fox News.


Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center has been shut down Dartmouth University said in a tweet, stating, "We have just received information that indicates there is an active shooter at the @DartmouthHitch Medical Center in Lebanon, NH."

The school later tweeted, "Local police departments are on scene. The @DartmouthHitch campus in Lebanon is on lock-down and a shelter in place order has been issued."

Although the main campus was not placed on lockdown, several local schools were closed

Lebanon police claim they received "reports of shots fired," but could not confirm whether the shooter was still in the building or even if a shooting had occurred.
