New York day camp counselor admits sexually assaulting 9-year-old boy as fellow worker filmed it
A former counselor at a New York day camp admitted to a judge on Thursday that he tied a 9-year-old boy to a bed and then sexually assaulted him as a co-worker filmed it.
According to Fox8, David Greenberg, 37, pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual act in a New York courtroom and faces 25 years to life in prison.
Also sentenced was Greenberg’s friend and co-counselor Keith Meyn. He will serve 15 years in prison for use of a child in a sexual performance, but is already serving 25 to 35 years in North Carolina, for child pornography crimes.
According to Assistant District Attorney John Cortes, the actions of the two men was “shocking and horrific.”
During his confession, Greenberg admitted to having sex with Meyn while watching video of underage boys engaged in sexual activity, and stated that he and Meyn had also provided under-aged boys with alcohol and recorded them exposing themselves.
The two men are not the only counselors at the camp involved in crimes against youthful campers. Another Kenwal counselor, Jay Marcello, 25, has been charged with touching campers inappropriately and handing out indecent material to them.
