‘Stop. Being. Excited.‘: The internet shreds Trump for ‘carnival-barking’ Hurricane Irma
President Donald Trump sent out a couple of tweets Wednesday morning about Hurricane Irma, which is still gathering unprecedented strength as it approaches landfall — and social media users slammed his apparent flippancy.
The president said he was watching the situation closely and boasted that his team, which did “such a good job in Texas,” was already in Florida.
“No rest for the weary!” Trump tweeted, and then expressed amazement at the hurricane’s size.
Hurricane looks like largest ever recorded in the Atlantic!

Other Twitter users were aghast at the president’s reaction to the potentially devastating storm.

What about the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico? They're part of the US. Or did I just give you a geography lesson?

You're only watching because you are concerned about Mar a Lago, not the people of Florida.

It's not "YOUR" team. It's the taxpayers team. And maybe you should address the leadership vacancies at Nat'l Hurricane Center?

He did this with Harvey too. I honestly think he just sees these disasters as television events.
