Members of the Congressional Black Caucus have told CNN that they are in talks to get Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) to resign due to multiple sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him by former staffers.

As CNN's Jake Tapper tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, "several" members spoke to CNN reporters claiming they're seeking ways to get Conyers to resign.

Earlier Tuesday afternoon, a second former staffer came forward with allegations that Conyers harassed her when she worked for him. He is currently under investigation from a House ethics panel and stepped down from his committee membership when the first former staffer came forward last week.

Last Tuesday, Conyers denied the harassment accusations, first brought forward in a BuzzFeed News investigation published November 20 that found the Michigan congressman settled a wrongful dismissal complaint after an ex-employee claimed she was fired because she didn't "succumb to [his] advances."
