The Palm Beach Post revealed Wednesday that the ex-GOP group The Lincoln Project has launched an ad buy in the city targeting ex-President Donald Trump directly through the television.
The video trolls the former president, who lives at his personal club Mar-a-Lago, spends most of his time golfing and watching right-wing television. So, in an ad, LP directs Trump to the fact that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is going to build another Republican Party without Trump.
According to the ad, Josh Holmes, McConnell's former chief of staff who now hosts a conservative podcast, "acts like you (Trump) are a nobody and laughs about how Mitch ignores you."
The worst moment comes when the ad notes, "now everyone is saying you're old, impotent, [and] an embarrassment." The ad likely doesn't mean impotent as in the male virility problem. The Lincoln Project presumably means "lacking power."
"And they will come to Mar-a-Lago, tricking you with cheap gifts, like a Dollar Store silver bowl," the ad continues, showing a photo of Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) delivering a participation trophy to Trump. "But in Washington, Mitch runs the party. You made the MAGA movement, Donald, and they are taking it all away from you while using your name to make money."

On Wednesday, following new reporting that Republicans led by Senate campaign chair arm Rick Scott (R-FL) are demanding massive spending cuts in return for raising the debt ceiling, Jesse Lee, a former adviser to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), condemned the demands as a form of "terrorism."
"This is actual economic terrorism, and any corporation that donates to the @NRSC is now not only supporting insurrectionists, but insurrectionists pledging to put a gun to the head of the economy every chance they get," wrote Lee on Twitter.
The debt ceiling is an arbitrary measure that does not actually prevent the U.S. from spending, but rather from paying debts on money that has already been spent, and it must be routinely raised in response to the national debt. Experts have warned that a default on U.S. Treasury bonds would cause widespread shocks throughout the global economic system — and that it might not even be constitutional.

Ted Cruz blasted for claim the energy industry will die under green law: Because the Texas grid is so dependable?
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) stepped in it when he commented about the Green New Deal bringing down the energy industry if passed. Cruz's state energy grid fall apart when Texas experienced freezing temperatures that ultimately killed people.
"At least 111 people died in Texas during [the] winter storm, most from hypothermia," reported the Texas Tribune. "The newly revised number is nearly twice the 57 that state health officials estimated last week and will likely continue to grow."
So, according to some, Cruz's comments anticipating the end of the world for alternative energy isn't the best thing for him to address until his state can clean its own house.

You mean it might deplete the reservoirs of cash the American energy industry uses to buy politicians like you, Ted?
Resign.

This reminds me of a infamous saying - "If Biden is elected, the stock market will crash". Some things never change. Republicans are so blind to real life issues.

Good!!!! American energy “As we know it" needs to be destroyed and on its bones, build greener, sustainable energy like solar, wind energy, geo thermal, and tidal. Wouldn't be too opposed to nuclear. Kill the oil companies while we are at it. GOP policies are killing the planet
