Vice President Mike Pence is headlining a fundraising event in Washington, D.C. for his brother Greg as he runs for Congress.

Politico reported Wednesday that a source near the vice president expects the fundraiser, which will be held tonight in D.C. at the Trump International Hotel, to raise roughly $300,000.

If elected to represent Indiana's 6th Congressional District in the state's May 8 Republican primary, Greg Pence has promised to be an ally to the Trump White House, Politico noted. Pence held the seat his brother is running for from 2001 to 2013 prior to becoming governor of Indiana.
