Bloomberg Politics is reporting that deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein Told President Donald Trump that he is not currently a target in special prosecutor Robert Mueller's investigation.

According to sources, Rosenstein reassured Trump during a meeting at the White House last Thursday after speculation was spreading that the president was thinking about firing Mueller or Rosenstein.

Following the meeting, Trump allegedly told his top advisors that he didn't think it was the right time to remove either since he's not personally a target. Trump didn't want to drag out the investigation and thus decided against it.
