Anthony Bourdain, host of CNN’s “Parts Unknown,” was found dead in his France hotel room on Friday. The cause of death has been ruled as suicide.

Last week, Bourdain, 61, bought a piece of artwork by John Lurie entitled, "The sky is falling, I am learning to live with it."

Lurie, tweeted that he was just becoming friends with Bourdain.

"We were just becoming friends. One of the few people I have been remotely interested in becoming friends with in years. I was supposed to see him on Wednesday. This is too fucked," he said.

He remembers Bourdain as a man without an ego and said he "loved him in seconds."

"Anthony Bourdain walked into my home without a hint of ego. I loved him in seconds. A truly decent man. We needed him," he said.
