A routine traffic stop turned into a bloody brawl that left two Pennsylvania state troopers in critical condition, reported The Morning Call.
On Friday, Pennsylvania state police released a graphic dash cam video of a November 2017 incident. Daniel Clary, 22, was stopped by Trooper Ryan Seipl and Cpl. Seth Kelly for speeding and driving under the influence.
The video shows the police officers becoming aggressive with Clary once he did not put his hands behind his back. The officers pulled their guns and tasers out first and threw Clary to the ground. Next, the officers started punching him.
The police officers fall to the ground briefly and Clary was able to escape. He ran to his car and pulled a gun out of the front seat and began shooting. The officers started shooting back.
Clary took a bullet to the head and was hospitalized. Kelly, who threw himself over a guard rail to stay safe suffered from the femoral artery and spent 12 days in a medical coma.
Clary has been convicted of attempted murder and awaits sentencing. His trial is set for August 31.
