A Georgia man allegedly threatened to "shoot up" an elementary school that his child attends while involved in a domestic incident.

According to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Thomas Shannon Bruce called Wauka Mountain Elementary School Wednesday and said he wanted to pull his child out of class. According to a release from the Hall County Sheriff, Bruce was in a custody dispute with the child's mother and wasn't authorized to sign the child out.

“Investigators believe Bruce then called his estranged wife and told her he was coming to shoot up the school,” Sheriff Gerald Couch said. “The woman quickly notified school officials, who contacted law enforcement.”

A warrant was obtained and he was arrested. He's been charged with felony terroristic threats and a misdemeanor of disruption of a public school.
