Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach was scorched by the editorial board of The Kansas City Star on Thursday afternoon.

"Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach recently stepped away from misleading voters about Medicaid and school spending to write another column for Breitbart, the conservative website," the newspaper noted.

In the column, Kobach warned of "thousands of aliens marching to our southern border."

"Kobach isn’t interested in actually solving the problem, of course," The Star explained. "He’s interested in using the crisis to further his own media career and enhance his electoral prospects with voters who fear immigrants."

"There are many reasons to be worried about Kris Kobach as Kansas governor. His amorality and unchecked demagoguery are at the top of the list," The Kansas City Star concluded.
