A black family was subjected to theft and racist vandalism — and the perpetrators left behind a black Barbie doll.
Buffalo’s WKBW reported that Jacquelyn and Dave Archie discovered Saturday morning that their minivan had been broken into and that the thieves left behind messages pertaining to their race.
As a GoFundMe for the family shows, the thieves scratched the words “n*gger” and “b*tch” onto the maroon minivan. They also stabbed the car’s seats, trashed the inside of the van, stole hundreds of dollars from the wife’s purse and a number of toys that were meant for Christmas gifts.
“Our tires were cut,” Dave Archie wrote in a post relayed on the GoFundMe page. “My wife lost all the money in her purse. Brand new toys that we brought our kids for Christmas gone (all except a black Barbie). Our kids clothes cut up!”
“We are just at a loss right now,” he continued.
The report noted that the family filed a report with Buffalo Police “immediately” after discovering they’d been robbed and vandalized.
