As Hurricane Michael hits Florida's coast, one man came up with a solution for authorities to identify him in case he doesn't survive. The Miami Herald reported that Randy Simmons, 57, wrote his name across his arm in black letters.
Simmons, a property owner in Panama City Beach, said he originally planned on evacuating. “I was going to stay here until it got to a Category 4,” Simmons said. “This is going to be a big mess."
Simmons wrote his name in big black letters on his left forearm. “You just never know what’s going to happen in these situations,” he warned. “People do die.”
Gov. Rick Scott (R-FL) called the hurricane, "the worst storm that our Florida Panhandle has seen in a century."
The storm has been identified as a Category 4 hurricane with winds of 150 mph.
