The year 2018 was flooded with unprecedented political scandals and corruption from President Donald Trump’s administration. The president saw no boundaries in the lies he told and the people he attacked.

Trump took to Twitter to bash any person who challenged his presidency or showed even the slightest ounce of disloyalty.

One group of people that Trump attacked consistently throughout 2018 is Black women.

“Trump’s vicious and public insults of black female professionals should remind us that black women have long had to fight for respect and dignity and against demeaning and ugly stereotypes in the public space,” Sherrilyn Ifill resident and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund wrote in The Washington Post.

Trump has attacked black women ranging from former first lady Michelle Obama to veteran journalist April Ryan.

Here are 10 black women Trump attacked in 2018.

The Indian Health Service acknowledged on Wednesday that 1 million respirator masks it purchased from a former Trump White House official do not meet Food and Drug Administration standards for “use in healthcare settings by health care providers.”

The IHS statement calls into question why the agency purchased expensive medical gear that it now cannot use as intended. The masks were purchased as part of a frantic agency push to supply Navajo hospitals with desperately needed protective equipment in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

ProPublica revealed last week that Zach Fuentes, President Donald Trump’s former deputy chief of staff, formed a company in early April and 11 days later won a $3 million contract with IHS to provide specialized respirator masks to the agency for use in Navajo hospitals. The contract was granted with limited competitive bidding.
