'Team of Vipers' author gets hilarious revenge on Trump after president claims he 'hardly knew' him

President Donald Trump on Tuesday lashed out at former aide Cliff Sims, whose book "Team of Vipers" paints a devastating picture of chaos and dysfunction inside the Trump White House.

“A low level staffer that I hardly knew named Cliff Sims wrote yet another boring book based on made up stories and fiction,” the president wrote in response to seeing Sims appear on multiple cable TV news programs Tuesday morning. “He pretended to be an insider when in fact he was nothing more than a gofer. He signed a non-disclosure agreement. He is a mess!”

In response to Trump's claim that he "hardly knew" Sims, the former White House aide fired back at the president by posting multiple photos of himself and Trump during their time together working in the White House.

The photos show Sims walking side-by-side with the president, and also show him attending meetings with top White House officials in the Oval Office.

The coup de grace, however, is a photo of a Trump-autographed copy of a New York Times front page reporting final passage of the Republican Party's 2017 tax cut bill.

"Cliff great job! Thanks," the president wrote on the paper.
